To:       Staff members requesting curriculum development support

In order to receive support to conduct a curriculum development effort, staff members must complete the accompanying CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT REQUEST FORM.

The LaFayette Prioritized Curriculum template should be used with any project.  This form requires adherence to the Core Curriculum and Standards outlined by New York State (see Appendix A).

In addition, student oriented materials must involve the higher level thinking skills necessary for students to be successful in meeting state Assessments (see Appendix B).

When constructing curriculum, staff should keep in mind that new staff members, administrators, parents, and other interested parties should be able to understand the content of the document.

Appendix C includes a sample Curriculum Request form.
