LaFayette students start 2017-18 school year
Sept. 6, 2017: LaFayette Central School District’s classrooms and hallways are again buzzing with activity.
On Sept. 6, students attending Grimshaw Elementary School, Onondaga Nation School, LaFayette Junior/Senior High School and Big Picture School returned to campus to begin the 2017-18 school year.
Elementary students spent the first day of school getting to know their new teachers and classmates, learning classroom routines, listening to stories read aloud, and testing out art supplies. Junior and senior high school students reconnected with old friends, navigated new schedules and learned about course expectations.
Whether they were returning for another year or attending school for the first time, many students said they are excited to start the academic year.
