LaFayette Central School District Mission Statement
The mission of the LaFayette School District through the combined efforts of community, parents, and teachers is to develop an environment for each student which will create a positive self-image, a life-long interest in learning, an atmosphere for high academic achievement, foster an understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity, and stress tolerance and respect for others, so that students become responsible and productive members of society.
Adopted by the Board of Education on May 25, 1993
Revision November 17, 1995
Did you Know?
LaFayette CSD frequently monitors and tests its schools' drinking water to make sure it is safe for consumption. Bacteria testing is performed daily and lead and copper testing is performed every three years in compliance with the county's testing regulations. In the wake of the discoveries that drinking water in some New York schools (and beyond) tested positive for lead, LaFayette elected to have its three-year test - originally scheduled for Aug. 2017 - performed in April 2016, which is 16 months ahead of schedule, to ensure its water remains safe and clean.
