Important Tax Collection Information

Tax collection begins September 8, 2026 with due dates as follows:

Sept. 8 - Oct. 7 – No Penalty             Oct. 8 - Nov. 2 – 2% Penalty             Nov. 3 - Nov. 16 – 5% Penalty

 

Payments will only be accepted as follows:

  • By mail with check payable to:

             School Tax Collector   

LaFayette Central School District

5955 US Route 20

LaFayette, NY  13084

  •  In-Person                      

Tuesday 7:30 am to 11:30 am

Thursday 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm

Leave in drop box outside the district office door

 

 

Please Note: 

  • In-Person payments will be accepted all day on Wednesday, October 7
  • After October 15, all in-person payments will be accepted at Grimshaw Elementary (please follow signs)

 

Payments made after November 2, 2026 are to be remitted to the Onondaga County Finance Department Chief Fiscal Officer, PO Box 1004, Syracuse, NY 13201-1004    315.435.2426
