"Battle of the Books" Winners Emerge

Recently, a couple of LaFayette “Battle of the Books” teams took top honors in regional competition!

At the outset, twelve teams (comprised of nearly 50 students from the third through sixth grades) competed in the local/school contest, answering Jeopardy-style questions based around 10 specific books. Each team had an adult coach to help them access the books through the library as they prepared for the contest.  

The two LaFayette teams who won the school competition then went on to do “battle” in the Onondaga-Cortland-Madison BOCES regional contest. Both teams ended up placing there, as well!
