Child Care for First Reponders
Child Care Options for First Responders and Medical Professionals
The District is committed to helping our first responders and medical professionals during this unprecedented time. The childcare providers will determine the number of open childcare slots prioritized for first responders and health care workers.
If you are a parent or caregiver who needs child care, please complete this parent need for a child care survey https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/3HSNNYJ.
Based on the information you provide about your job, employer, number of children, and financial need, the Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) may be able to help you find the child care program you need. It may be a challenge to find child care due to COVID-19 related program closures, however, the staff at OCFS are trying their best to support families to find the high-quality child care that they need.

The District is working with Child Care Solutions to assist families in finding child care to meet their family’s needs when there are no openings available near their home or near their place of employment. There are about 1,200 child care openings throughout the county. LaFayette Central School District will continue to refer parents to the Parent Help Team at 315-446-1220, ext. 303.
