Update on Positive Cases December 10 2020
December 10, 2020
Good Evening,
The district was notified regarding recent COVID test results for students and staff members in our district. The district has been informed that we have the following positive cases since our last report on Monday December 7th:
-
LaFayette Big Picture School: One remote learner tested positive.
-
LaFayette Jr/Sr High School: One remote learner tested positive.
-
Grimshaw Elementary: Two in person learners, one remote learner, and one staff member tested positive.
-
Onondaga Nation School: Two remote learners and one staff member, who works remotely, tested positive.
The district has notified all of the families with students who were in close contact with these individuals. Staff members who were determined to be in close contact have also been notified.
The district has been in touch with the Onondaga County Health Department and we are working with the county to complete the contact tracing protocol.
At this point, Grimshaw Elementary, LaFayette Jr/Sr High School, and LaFayette Big Picture School will continue to remain open for in person instruction. The Onondaga Nation School will continue to educate students via digital instruction through at least January 29th.
Please be safe- wash those hands, stay six feet apart, wear a face covering, stay home when you are sick and contact your doctor if you are experiencing symptoms.
Sincerely,
Jeremy Belfield
