Update on Positive Cases - January 21, 2021

Good Evening-
The district was recently informed of the following positive cases that occurred since our last communication to the school community on January 15th:

Two students at the Jr/Sr High recently tested positive for COVID-19. Based on the dates that the individuals tested positive and since the school switched last week to remote learning, there were no close school contacts identified as a result of these two cases.

One student at the Big Picture School tested positive. Based on this student’s last date of attendance for in person learning and the date of the positive test result, there were no close school contacts identified.

Four digital learners at the Onondaga Nation School recently tested positive for COVID-19.
We wish these individuals a quick recovery. The district has been in communication with the Onondaga County Health Department regarding these cases.

Grimshaw Elementary and LaFayette Big Picture School will continue to provide in person instruction

LaFayette Jr/Sr High School has switched to remote learning for the following dates: Thursday January 14th through January 22nd.

The Jr/Sr High will resume in person learning on Monday January 25, 2021.

The Onondaga Nation School will continue with digital learning through the end of the school year.
Please be safe - wash those hands, stay six feet apart, wear a face covering, stay home when you are sick and contact your doctor if you are experiencing symptoms.
