Update on Positive Cases January 25 2021

January 25, 2021

Good Afternoon -

The district was recently informed of the following positive cases that occurred since our last communication to the school community on January 21st:

  • One student at the Big Picture School tested positive for COVID-19. Based on this student’s last date of attendance for in person learning and the date of the positive test result, there were no close school contacts identified.

  • One student at the Grimshaw Elementary School tested positive for COVID-19. Based on this student’s last date of attendance for in person learning and the date of the positive test result, there were no close school contacts identified.

We wish these individuals a quick recovery. The district has been in communication with the Onondaga County Health Department regarding these cases.

  • LaFayette Big Picture School, LaFayette Jr/Sr High School, and Grimshaw Elementary will continue to provide in person instruction.

  • The Onondaga Nation School will continue with digital learning through the end of the school year.

Please be safe - wash those hands, stay six feet apart, wear a face covering, stay home when you are sick and contact your doctor if you are experiencing symptoms.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

Jeremy Belfield
