No School Fri 5/28/21 and Update on COVID Cases

Good Afternoon,

 

Here are some important updates:

 

Friday May 28, 2021- No School

There will be no school on Friday May 28, 2021 as part of our snow day give back day which is outlined in our approved instructional calendar for the 2020-2021 school year. 

 

All schools will be closed on Friday May 28, 2021. 

 

Also, there will be no school on Monday May 31, 2021 in observance of Memorial Day.

 

Update on COVID Cases

Since our last update on April 8, 2021, the district was informed of the following COVID cases in our schools:

 

• Two students at Grimshaw Elementary tested positive for COVID 19. All close contacts have been identified and families have been informed. The district has informed the Onondaga County Health Department of these cases and any close contacts that were identified. We wish these students a quick recovery.

 

Please continue to monitor for symptoms of COVID and continue to follow the safety guidelines to keep everyone safe and healthy: wear a face mask, practice proper hand hygiene, maintain social distancing and stay home when you are sick.
