COVID Test Kit Distribution January 2022
COVID Rapid Test Kit Distribution January 2022
Dear Families,
This week Governor Kathy Hochul announced the statewide goal of providing students an opportunity to be tested for COVID-19 as school resumes after holiday break. There is no requirement that families test their children, but the Governor is encouraging the testing of students in order to keep students and school communities as safe as possible. We received word that test kits were delivered this afternoon to our local BOCES and the district will pick them up tomorrow morning.
Test kits will be available for parents to pick up at the following locations and times:
-
Saturday January 1, 2022 - 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM High School North Parking Lot
-
Saturday January 1, 2022 - 12:30-1:30 PM - Onondaga Nation School - South Parking Lot
-
Monday January 3, 2022 - 1:45 PM - 4:30 PM - Grimshaw Elementary Cafeteria Entrance
-
Monday January 3, 2022 1:45 PM - 3:15 PM - Onondaga Nation School Main Entrance
To help us keep track of who plans to pick up a test kit, please fill out this Google Form: https://forms.gle/W5wwZXy9y5121Tgr6
If you are unable to pick up a COVID test kit at one of these times, please feel free to reach out to your child’s principal to arrange another time to pick up a test kit. There is a limit of one test kit per student. Supplies are limited and are available on a first come first serve basis.
Again, there is no requirement that students participate in COVID testing. The district will also resume our normal COVID surveillance testing program on Tuesday January 4, 2022.
Parents can submit the results of any positive results obtained for COVID tests via the following link: https://covid19.ongov.net/at-home-covid-test-results-screen/
I hope that everyone has a safe and Happy New Year! We look forward to seeing our students and staff back on Monday January 3, 2022. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me - jbelfield@lafayetteschools.org or 315-529-9550 (cell).
Sincerely,
