LaFayette voters approve $24,195,663 and elect board members

 

On May 21st, LaFayette Central School District voters approved the district’s $24,195,663 million 2024-2025 budget proposal, elected two board of education members, approved purchasing three 66-passenger school buses, approved capital reserves for construction not to exceed 5,000,000, approved capital vehicle reserves not to exceed $2,000,000 and approved an ex-officio student board of education member.

 

• A 24,195,663 budget for the 2024-2025 school year that increases spending 2.0 percent and carries a 3.99 percent tax levy increase: __136__ yes, _38___ no;

• Purchasing three new student transportation vehicles at a total cost not to exceed $556,000: _134___yes, _38___no;

• Capital construction reserves not to exceed $5,000,000 __136__ yes, _38___ no;

• Capital vehicle reserves not to exceed $2,000,000 _128___ yes, _45___ no;

• Ex-Officio Student Board of Education Member __144___yes,_29___no;

 

Voters also elected two candidates for the two open board of education seats:
