LaFayette voters approve $24,732,137 and elect board members

 

On May 20th, LaFayette Central School District voters approved the district’s budget proposal of $24,732,137 for the 2025-2026 school year, elected two board of education members, approved purchasing two (2) diesel 65-passenger school buses and one (1) Suburban, including necessary furnishings, fixtures and equipment and all other costs incidental thereto, and expend a total sum not to exceed $460,000.

 

• A $24,732,137 budget for the 2025-2026 school year that increases spending 2.22 percent and carries a 1.99 percent tax levy increase: 226 yes, 52 no;

• Purchasing two (2) diesel 65-passenger school buses and one (1) suburban, including necessary furnishings, fixtures and equipment and all other cost incidental thereto, and expend a total sum not to exceed $460,000: 228 yes, 48 no;

Voters also elected two candidates for the two open board of education seats:
